The heirloom tomatoes are here and no matter how expensive they are in Germany we will have some. We do not consume any other tomatoes as frankly they cannot be any more tasteless and acidic. But the beefsteak, pink, juicy fruits are worth it.
I love eating them plain but today I decided to experiment with a new spread. For the base I used cauliflower – a veggie we do not buy often as we are not fans of cruciferous vegetables. It turned out quite good and is definitely a raw, healthy choice that can add a variety to your diet.
- 1/2 head of big cauliflower
- 1/2 zucchini
- 1/2 avocado
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 celery stick
- the juice of half a lemon
- a small piece of beetroot
Add all ingredients in a food processor and blend till the desired texture is achieved. Taste and adjust to your liking.
